ESOL students will practice speaking, listening and understanding everyday English conversation in many different situations, such as on the telephone, going to the doctor, and applying for a job. Students will learn and practice pronunciation of English sounds. They will practice forming spoken sentences correctly. Students will also learn how to use many resources to help them study English conversation beyond the classroom. Rolling admission. Kathy Floyd has been teaching ESOL, HiSET, High School Diploma at WRAE since 2009. She received the New Teacher of the Year award from the Maine Adult Education Association for the 2009-2010 school year.
Sandy Warren has been teaching ESOL for the past five years in the U.S., taught ESOL in the Dominican Republic for 10 years, built ESOL curriculum, and led ESOL professional development groups. She holds an MSEd from St. Joseph’s College, secondary life science teaching endorsement, and is completing her MA in TESOL from Cornerstone University in Michigan.
